Passionate about all sports, we immerse ourselves in how athletes operate. Through our own experiences in professional sports, we were exposed to different methods and techniques to reach peak performance. Our objective is to utilise this experience and knowledge, to help support young athletes as they pave their way through the tumultuous field of competitive sport.
Our mindset is geared towards making marginal gains, offering a functional fitness gym for aspiring athletes to maximise their potential. This mindset governs our actions and behaviours, directing us to elevate North Eastern athletes onto the national stage.
Coaching
Performance professionals utilising exercise prescription to improve the performance of our competitive athletes or athletic teams. This is achieved through the combination of strength training, aerobic & anaerobic conditioning, and other methods.
Focused primarily on sport performance. The coach help athletes with injury prevention, through strengthening and coaching of movement mechanics within a sport. Looking primary at improving:
- Mobility & movement
- Metabolic Conditioning
- Core Strength
Assessment
Athlete Testing:
The initial testing session can give the athlete an idea of where their fitness levels are at the start of a program, so that future testing can be compared to this and any changes can be noted. A baseline is especially important if you are about to embark on a new training phase. By repeating tests at regular intervals, you can get an idea of the effectiveness of the training program. Areas of athleticism tested:
- Aerobic fitness
- Anaerobic fitness
- General Strength
Body Composition:
Taking 7 Site Skinfold Measurements: triceps, chest/pectoral, midaxillary, subscapular, suprailiac, abdominal, and thigh. The main purpose of skinfold measurements is to estimate general fatness and the distribution of subcutaneous adipose tissue.
Psychological Assessment:
Understanding the personalities of athletes and coaches provides insight for people to overcome tendencies for undesirable behavior that can hinder individual and team performance. Personality tests can help athletes and coaches gain self-awareness to adjust their behavior and improve performance. Looking at:
- Coping style
- Thinking style
- Interpersonal Style
